Foxes are not choosy when it comes to their habitat. They feel comfortable in forests, meadows, fields and today also in or near human settlements.<br><br>Typically, foxes dig their den into the ground, but they can also use a garden shed, a crevice in the rocks or a hollow tree trunk to raise their offspring.<br><br>Foxes are omnivorous. It will mainly hunt domestic chickens, ducks or geese when it has a litter of young, as its food requirements are then very high. In summer, it also likes to feed on fruit, with a preference for sweet varieties such as mirabelles, plums or cherries.
