The wild boar

sus scrofa
Wild boar adapt to a wide range of habitats and are true omnivores. They root around on the ground in search of roots, worms, larvae, mice, snails and mushrooms.

Particularly large wild boar populations can be found in mixed forests with a predominance of oak and beech, where there are muddy areas and meadow-like clearings.

Wild boar can sometimes cause significant damage to agriculture. They eat everything that is grown in Central Europe. They even distinguish between potato varieties, preferring new potatoes.
